GymBuddy Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and GymBuddy (“GymBuddy,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the GymBuddy app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use GymBuddy.

1. Eligibility — You Must Be 18 or Older

GymBuddy is intended only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the app. By using GymBuddy you represent that you are 18 or older. We will terminate any account we believe belongs to a person under 18.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for your account, your login credentials, and all activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information, including a real profile photo and an accurate identity. One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone.

3. Acceptable Use & Zero-Tolerance Policy

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. GymBuddy has no tolerance for content or conduct that is objectionable, and accounts that violate this policy will be removed.

You agree that you will not post, send, share, or engage in any of the following, and that doing so is a serious violation of these Terms:

Harassment, bullying, stalking, intimidation, or threats of any kind.
Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any protected class.
Sexually explicit, pornographic, or nude content, or unsolicited sexual advances.
Content that is violent, graphic, or that promotes self-harm or harm to others.
Fake profiles, impersonation, catfishing, scams, phishing, or fraud.
Spam, solicitation, or unsolicited commercial promotion.
Sharing another person’s private information without consent (doxxing).
Any illegal activity, including the sale of illegal goods or services, or content that sexualizes or endangers minors.
Attempting to access other users’ data, the GymBuddy systems, or to bypass security.

This is not an exhaustive list. We may remove any content or account we consider objectionable, harmful, or unsafe, in our sole discretion.

4. Reporting and Blocking

Your safety matters. Inside the app you can:

Report any user, profile, message, post, or comment that violates these Terms, using the report (🚩) controls. Reports are confidential — the reported user is not told who reported them.
Block any user, which removes them from your matches and discovery and prevents further contact.
Unmatch to end a connection at any time.

We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and aim to act within 24 hours, which may include removing content and ejecting the user who provided it. To contact us about safety or any report, use the in-app Contact & Support screen or email 2026gymbuddy@gmail.com.

5. Enforcement — Suspension and Removal

Violations of these Terms may result, in our sole discretion and without prior notice, in content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, or permanent account deletion. Serious violations (including threats, sexual content involving minors, or illegal activity) may be reported to law enforcement.

6. User-Generated Content

You own the content you create, but you grant GymBuddy a license to host and display it in order to operate the service. You are solely responsible for content you post and for your interactions with other users. GymBuddy does not pre-screen all content but reserves the right to remove any content at any time.

7. Meeting Other Users — Safety

GymBuddy helps you find workout partners, but we do not conduct criminal background checks. You are responsible for your own safety. Use caution, meet in public gym settings, and do not share sensitive personal or financial information with people you meet.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account inside the app, which permanently removes your profile, photo, matches, messages, check-ins, posts, and reports associated with your account. You may also request deletion at our account deletion page or by emailing 2026gymbuddy@gmail.com.

9. Fitness & Health Disclaimer

GymBuddy is a social app for finding workout partners. It is not a medical, healthcare, personal-training, or emergency service, and it does not provide medical, fitness, nutritional, or professional advice. Any training, exercise, or activity you undertake is done at your own risk and is your sole responsibility. Consult a qualified physician or healthcare professional before beginning a new fitness program, and stop and seek medical help if you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

GymBuddy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GymBuddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, your workouts or physical activity, or your interactions with other users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of GymBuddy after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
